Description
Sansui Model 881– this receiver has had quite the life. It is rough, but working. It is completely unrestored, so there are a few issues present:
-Phono indicator, right signal meter and tuner display bulbs are burnt out. Some lettering/paint has worn off the front. Some pots are a little scratchy. I have cleaned a few of them but they work fine when in position. The wooden enclosure has a section completely missing. The front glass has a chip. The top brushed aluminum is scratched. There are dents and peeling sections from the vinyl wood veneer. Some scratches/nicks are present on the exterior.
^^^ Please refer to photos– I have tried my best to indicate these.
All inputs are working. Outputs A,B and C are working. AM and FM tuners working. Tone controls working. Filters, muting and balance controls are working.
Please keep in mind that this is a vintage unrestored unit. While working, the audio may not be top-tier. Caps may be dry, pots may be a bit dusty. Like any receiver of this age I would recommend some TLC to get it back to where it deserves.
